   Checking on my seed requirements the other day & I every year I leave about 2 dozen of the best broad bean plants in the plot till late & hang them up to dry & pod them about Christmas time, counting up & I've been[ha ha ] doing this for 40 years now,& my original seed came from my wife's grandad who told me he got them from a chap in the 1930s they've never deteriated & I allways get good crops.
