I also watched Ina Garten make the thumbprint cookies and decided to make them as pressies. ;)

Also going to make these from the BBC Food website:-

Homemade Irish Cream
Sour Cherry and stem ginger florentines a la Hairy Bikers
Christmas mini muffins (made them last year, absolutely delish)
Fondant fancies
Chocolate mince pies
Gingerbread cupcakes with salted caramel icing

Should be something there for everyone.  Looks like I won't be on the forum for a couple of days. :D

Forgot to mention the Ina Garten white truffles.

Just started the damson gin soaking, so should be done for Christmas... hope enough survives to make it into some Christmas stockings!

Modified to remove abbreviation. :tongue2:

First time on this year, and I can report that the damson gin was fantastic! It ended up a little thick and syrupy, so too much sugar, I think. But nothing that an extra glug of gin couldn;t fix while bottling up.... so I will definitely be raiding my father's damson trees this autumn!

Sloe gin for us Iazza and it came out really well too. Also made some chocolate marshmallow fudge which was fantastic (and I don't even like fudge).  :tongue2:

My homemade chocolate Irish cream was fab and was great to drink but even better on ice cream.  Will definately make that again.  :)

The recipe is by Lorraine Pascale.  Should be easy enough to find on t'internet.  If not, I'll post it. :)

I don't even like whiskey, but this was delish.

Ooh, thank you!  :D It was her recipe for fudge that I used (although I did use more dark choccie on the second batch and it was much nicer).
