Bug Clear...
« on: August 15, 2012, 21:20 »
I've just bought some Bug Clear, as we're festooned with caterpillers, and have just seen that it is only rape seed oil!

Why can't I get a bottle of cooking oil for a fifth of the price and chuck that all over the blighters?

We're supposed to rip the caterpillars off our plants, not to be ripped off ourselves!!

Oh, it's alright Mums, I definitely, purposefully, Brussellectomyly won't be mixing it with some real proper bug killer, because that's not allowed!

Of course, I'll get the permission of the bugs before I spray them won't I!

That's OK then! Job done!

i seem to remember something about rapeseed oil being poisonous (without some kind of treatment)  until they bred that characteristic out? If so, I wonder if buclear is the old type rather than the new type?

Interesting Savbo - Wiki has some facts and figures about the acidic content!

May be why the little zods don't like it!
