my grandchildren have collected loads of leaves out side my flat how do i turn it into leaf mould

in a wire cage and leave it open to the elements george.takes a good 12 months or you can leave them in a bulk builders bag
feed the soil not the plants

ive been working at a cemetry and this time of year the gardeners are going around on there johndeers sucking them up and dumping them in a big pile.so I gets 10 bulk bags full of leaves and a few grass clippings thrown in aswel :wink:

Next job will be to collect leaves for leafmould then shred paper for compost.  Done.  On that note I'm done too.  Nightynight.

Tied up in black bin liners, with holes for ventilation. Takes a couple of years though.
Growing salad leaves isn't rocket science.

If you put too much in with your ordinary compost it will slow it all down which is why the advice is to do it separatly,if you have little space then black binliners stuffed with leaves,water,make a few holes in the bag and shove it in a courner and forget about it until next year.

This is part of the reason I'm on the look out for a knarly pickup truck so I can do the council a favour and collect the leaves tjhat collect in ythe gutters for my leavfmould....

they rot down a lot quicker if you pickem up with a lawnmower(shreds the leaves) plus the bit of grass that you get when mowing heats em up.
