mmmm looks interesting! I would be a little worried about using as roofing, and would prefer corrugated plastic -only a little more expensive but would be concerned about managing the rain and wind we can get.

Good price, Looby and looks like good stuff. I always worry about heat under clear covers, though  :(

i was wandering about how u would join it together in the centre i mite give the place a ring tomorw . i would love to use corrugated but it would be very expensive and i would have to have it battened down like it was a car port or something.

glad i could be helpfull  while out with doing horses i was thinking that i could batten it down from the inside of my run under the main netting roof  otherwise i would have to take down the protecting wire thats about the run and that is why to much hassle .

I like the look of that, dunno how flexible it is, would be interest in making a sort of roller blind effect thingy with it so i could roll it back when its not needed, and maybe use it to drop down over the exposed side of the run in extreme weather like this. Thanks Looby

thats a good idea  :D let me know how u work it out though , i could do 3/4 of my run as i would end up having to cut it as i have the sycamore tree on one side of the run  , putting up the netting was bad enough in the end we had to place 2'2 like a cross around the tree to support the netting an block in any gaps .

Have used this for field trips and it is good and strong. If used as a run cover it will have the same weakness as any sheet like tarpaulin, in that it will flap and wear wherever it is close to the fastening points

I think my neighbour uses something similar as a flexible covering on his compost heap.

Think it would be great to have as roll down blinds on a run to help stop snow and driving rain getting to your chickens looby, you would only need to tack it to the battens at the top and hold it in place with some webbing or strong ribbon. Don't think it would solve your roof problem though. Even though mine free range with lots of covered areas including a land rover hardtop I may get some of this to make another undercover run for the sablepoots to get out of the weather as they haven't liked the snow at all  :(.
Staffies are softer than you think.

i would not do the whole run as it would mean i would have to at some point end up cutting it , but i was thinking of making shelter roofs with it say 2 metres long by 1 metre wide and do them in each corner , then somehow make a carport tpye structure over the house so that was kept covered full time  .
