Free range and worming
« on: April 02, 2011, 16:23 »
It's time to worm the chickens again and I wondered what everyone does for their free ranging birds because it says they should only eat medicated and normal feed.

I stir my flubenvet onto moist sweetcorn then give this every day for 7 days. Mine free range all the time and I have no way of keeping them in. They all love sweetcorn so I know they all get some. I also worm every 3 months.
Staffies are softer than you think.

works for me and mine but like I say others may disagree and as my birds can fly (and I have no intention of wing clipping so they can still fly out of trouble).

Ours just don't like being cooped up (excuse the pun) they're too used to free ranging now and make too much of a racket when they have to be penned but they're quite happy to be hand fed so I'll try the corn :D
