Hi all,
I really hope someone reads this post as i am in a terrible dilemma!!
I have just got myself 2 hens and i give them free range of my garden, but..
I have 2 small dogs too... and my question is.....
IS  WILL ...     CHICKEN POOP... harm my dogs. as one of them in particular is facinated with the chicken poop and keeps licking at it??? is this natural?
any advice will be gratefully accepted.

lots of dogs eat chicken poop (along with other ghastly things  ) so don't worry too much, just make sure you worm them regularly (the dogs and the chickens  ).
Oh and welcome by the way - why not take a visit to the welcome section and introduce yourself to everybody

Dont worry my dog is always eating chicken poo, he always seem to find a bit  :happy:  Welcome to the forum by the way.  nickyx

My 2 yorkshire terriers are always eating chicken poo  and has never done them any harm  .

my labrador loves poo- the smellier the better (yuk) on a positive note it makes poo picking less of a chore. She is fine but I make sure I worm her regularly and include treatment for lungworm.

  I'm sorry to say this but aren't dogs thoroughly disgusting creatures  I have to say that I had to have a good chuckle when I read this though

We have 3 chuckle sisters who roam the garden leaving a trail of chicken nuggets - we always do a nugget collection run once they are tucked up - but Boris the wonderpuppy always manages to find some that we've missed - Yum ! tasty - he loves them!! Doesnt' seem to do him any harm, but we do try and discourage it - what the hell's wrong with a nice bonio? - obviously not disgusting enough!

my dog eats chicken poo and any other none dog poo he can find pretty disgusting just dont let him  lick your face lol
