I have acquired my first ever allotment plot today and I don't really know how to start. Being this time of year - what should I be doing?

It is a lovely feeling to at long last have your own space to create your own edible space. If its clear already and the soil good, see if you can get a few spring brassica plants. Purple sprouting, cabbage and cauliflowers. Nice to have something growing while you get the rest ready for next spring. Good luck!
