Title: Compost sieve
Post by: Ma Lowe on February 28, 2014, 00:24
Don't know if that's what they call them but I have been looking for a small 5" ish sieve for sieving compost on top of seeds but can't seem to find one anywhere. Does anyone know where I might find one please.

Cheaper at Wilkinsons than ebay as you get two small plastic tools and seed planter and a small plastic sieve.

for finer stuff I use the top section of an old steamer, with about 3mm holes (1/8") works well as long as the soil is fairly dry.

I use the mesh front from an old electric fan or a maggot riddle for really fine compost.
If you have a decent fishing tackle shop nearby it may be worth a look. :)
