Swiss Chard and Leek sautee...
« on: November 25, 2012, 11:44 »
Mrs G discovered this recipe and we tried it yesterday, with a liver and bacon casserole.

It's marvellous, and you get the lovely veggy chard flavour without the toughness of the stems, as they all meld very well!

Obviously one from Gavan Murphy, so I hope it's OK just to give the link, as I can't type photos...

Oh  Rats!   Just been down to the allotment for a swede and swiss chard.  I'm not going to fish out all the stalks just to cut them down from 1" to 1/2".  I'll keep it in mind for next time, but it does look tasty.   ;)

Cheers,   Tony.
I may be growing OLD, but I refuse to grow UP !

Be my guest, Tony!

You're lucky to get swede, most of ours started to get going far too late, and are about as big as an apple, so they're on ration...
