I use 25ml per litre of drinking water for 4 weeks out of every 5. :) Really good stuff!

Hi Diane,
I use 25ml cider vinegar per litre water every weekend, although you can do it constantly. We were advised every weekend was a good programme for keeping the worms at bay.
Hope that helps,
Sue  :)

I have some Battles tonic (think that is what it is called) what can be put in water. (It is pink!).  The label doesnt say how frequent to give it.  Anybody else used this?  I have some ACV on order and should come this week.  Should I just stick to one or the other?

I am finding that there is a lot of stuff out their for chickens, like poultry spice as another.  I wouldn't want to overdo it with addatives, but also don't want the girls to suffer in any way.

They are on layer pellets and corn before bed time, plus plenty of greens.

Out of Battles, ACV and Poulty Spice, what should I be using?

Hi Molly Hen

Battles is a vitamin supplement wheras Poultry Spice is a mineral supplement. POultry spice is useful when a chicken is moulting to aid feathering, generally under the weather, or just recovering from an illness or maybe laying soft shelled eggs.
ACV is basically an aid to digestion -it works by reducing mucous -helpful in respiratory infections, as well as creating a hostile enviroment for internal parasites such as worms. By keeping the gut healthy this helps the absorption of nutrients from the diet.
So, IMO you only need supplements where there is a need -however, ACV given routinely will help all round good health. :)

Thanks Foxy.  That makes things simpler.
Think I will do as the other posts say and give ACV on a weekend in their water and save the Battles if and when anyone starts looking off colour (or any of the other probs you mentioned).
Thanks
