A friend of mine who is part of our friday night crowd in the club was saying he grows durham early all year round its the only cabbage he grows he says.Does anyone on here do that,Ihave to say it is my favourite cabbage and worth trying.

Anything is worth trying, you have very little to lose and quite a lot to gain if it works.  In fact I may do the same!

I tried it for the first time last year and wasn't that impressed with my efforts. So maybe it was just me and am trying again this year and hope to have better luck. So far this year the bulk standard and easy to grow golden acre primo and greyhound are outperforming the Durham again by a country mile, and I do like the taste of both.
The future for Durham early on my plot is looking bleak.

I must admit I thought that spring cabbage benefitted from being dormant over the winter and wouldnt grow properly otherwise.I think ill just stick with Primo and Greyhound for summer and savoy for winter.Might try some Hispi though.My biggest problem is I grow so many varieties of things I run out of growing space.
