I have 3 pumpkins which are taking over the bed I put them in and I have space left by shallots and 1st earlies. Can I move a plant which has started to set fruit and has sent out lots of runners?
-
I'd say no.
And no again.

errr....that about sums up my thoughts as well :D
If you move it you run the risk of the fruits dying, and no more coming and if it really gets a strop on.........the whole thing will die anyway

Thanks guessed that would be the case. It looks like planning is the answer.

i'd agree they wont transplant. As for next year try planting them by sweetcorn and let them grow under them. Works for me :)
