I'm having my first attempt at growing melons this year, in my tunnel. One of my plants I gave up on a few weeks back, but the remaining one has finally put on a growth spurt. I've got it going up a supporting string to the roof, but I'm not entirely sure what to do about the sideshoots. It's not really putting off sideshoots from the stem right now, but it has put off 2 sideshoots right from the base, more like extra stems than sideshoots, and these are showing flowers. Should I leave them alone and tie them in or get rid of them?
