Spur removal.

I have two cocks that need thier spurs removing, I have read Munty's techniques but can't bring myself to just twist them off with pliers, and the red hot potato thing, I'm sure they must work, but, Iwould like to see visual explanation too, so if anyone knows of anywhere that I can look, I and my hens would greatly appreciate it.

I don't have cocks so don't really know anything about them. Munty's advice would be good. This web site gives more detail:

Thanks Aunt Sally, I have perused that web site and have reached the conclusion that 'I'm going to have to grab the rooster by the legs' and put those pliers to good use. I'll post the results, good or bad.
