A lockdown question ?
« on: November 06, 2020, 12:48 »
When the g/house men resume next Tuesday.  One of them always needs the loo for a wee.   Can I let him in ?
Frankly I would rather not, but he will probably pee in the garden if I dont let him. ::)  Mrs Bouquet

This isn't a lock down question, it's a lock out question!

Cheers,   Tony. :nowink:

I'd tell him to pee outside (in a bucket perhaps?) rather than have to let him in and have to disinfect everything  ::)

I have thoroughly disinfected each time he has been there.   Day one, he walked right through with his boots on as well.   I told him.
They have used all of my buckets for soil they have dug out, which are now full of water.  I thought it was because of the rain  -  now I am wondering    ::)      I shall be so glad when they finish.  He has just emailed me to say it will now be Wednesday not Tuesday.   !!     Mrs B

My ex-husband was a Policeman (CID) and when on covert obs they used to use fabric conditioner bottles to wee in as, apparently, they are a convenient shape.  They also of course have a screw on lid so no spillages.  He could then take it home, empty and rinse.  If he needs a 'number 2' I'm afraid I've got no ideas.

If it were me I'd allow it. There is such a thing as being too paranoid. What are the chances of you contracting COVID from one workman using your toilet for a minute or two? If you are that worried you shouldn't have them round in the first place.

We're lucky in that we have a downstairs and an upstairs loo. When we had workmen in recently, I showed them where the downstairs one was, and told them not to knock, but to come in and use it. I provided plenty of liquid soap and some old towels.  At the end of each day I bleached everything down, removed the used towels and put out some fresh ones for the following day.  It didn't take long, and I appreciated how my husband would suffer if he didn't have access to a toilet for a whole day.

Isn't urine (particularly male) supposed to be good on a compost heap, from time to time?  I suppose if you have one it'd be an option...
