I'm guessing that potato whisky is the same as poteen.  Now we can discuss the relative merits of the taste, but we can't advocate making it due to it being illegal without a proper licence.

It is, yes, but do bear in mind that nobody has ever yet been prosecuted for it, though they can confiscate your equipment.

also, is vodka made from tatties aswell?
