Cup & Saucer (Cobaea Scandens) Problems
« on: May 26, 2008, 09:47 »
In April I sowed some Cup & Saucer (Cobaea Scandens), but had no germination at all (in greenhouse). A couple of weeks ago I sowed a few more in the greenhouse, but from a different supplier and there is no sign of them yet. Any idea's?

Thanks,

Miles.

Fila, they can take months to come up, hope you haven't thrown the trays out.

Did you sow the seeds on their sides, not flat. They can rot.

Months? :o . Blimey. I was expecting to have some for the summer. No I haven't thrown them yet. I'll be patient.

Thanks

You didn't put them too deep, did you? You can gently scrape a bit of soil off  the top if that's likely.

I have to admit I sow mine much earlier maybe end Jan beginning feb in a heated propagator. I get gemination in a couple of weeks I guess. then i put them in a heated greenhouse, then cold, then out about now.
