Is it OK to plant autumn garlic after a rainy day?

Or will it rot? It rained quite a lot last night, so should I wait for a dryer spell? Thank you.

Once planted it would have to take it's chances anyway, so unless the ground is waterlogged I'd plant them.
Go easy on firming them in though, it's very easy to make the soil set like concrete when it is wet, especially on clay soil.
