On my allotment I have a concrete drive area which I would like to sit a greenhouse on, the allotment is a side garden of someone's house I am land sharing with so I don't want to pick the greenhouse direct to the concrete.

My plan is to use 4" x 4" timber that would stretch over the drive and be staked to the ground either side of the concrete drive, I would then attach the greenhouse to the timbers.

Do you think this will be strong enough to hold the greenhouse

Mine is held down by stakes driven into the ground, but it is in a fairly sheltered position.

4x2 will be ample ,nothing to gain by using 4x4 ! I had a 6'x6' GH for 18 years held down by 4 stakes that were 2x2 18 inches long

Thanks for the replies, am looking at getting the greenhouse before Christmas. I'll post some photos when I've got it erected
