Runner bean trench

Can I put manure into a runner bean trench? Ive had conflicting advice up at the lottie today.  :blink:
I have my own cement mixer and not afraid to use it!!

Yes you can.

Best if it is well rotted, as fresh could scorch the roots to come now (Last autumn it would have been OK)

Without wanting a graphic explanation, but does fresh mean that you cant see the lumps (if you get my drift)?  :)

Fresh means full of lumps of poo and strawy still

Rotted is brown throughout, but might be lumpy still of course

I think that it might be too fresh then. Is there any way I can speed up the rotting process.
