Not sure if Brian will do it again, as it is getting expensive to keep the turkeys, but he did get another 30 this year, but there are still 6 or 7 in the freezer from last year!

Luckily we do eat a lot of turkey, but it's a lot of effort just for us!  :)

Well, if you had say 3 of them, and jointed them before freezing.  It would keep you in lower calorie meat for a while, but it's buying the feed in smaller quantities isn't it?

It was much easier when we had over 100 turkeys, we bought the feed by the tonne to save money.  In fact, this year we made it up to a tonne by getting the chicken food as well, and the Mill deliver free, but not many people sell turkey food in smaller amounts do they?

Won't taste as good though!   ;) ;)

But I did say to Brian it would be easier to just buy one now and again than spend 5 months not being able to go anywhere because we don't really have anyone up here to take care of them while we are away.

You're hired!   ;)

I know Sparky, same with the chickens, but at least having to leave Brian here looking after them, I get to escape once or twice a year to visit my family, who he doesn't really like much!   ;) ;) ;)
