Title: advice on the best bird to use for meat

hi just a genral question about what would be the best bird to grow for the table the only thing that keeps coming up on goggle is ross cob and wondered if there were others

Some people like Sasso's, but we rear Hubbards (757's and Coloryields).  We used to rear the Mastergris, but the parent stock was sold to Cluckingnuts, one of our members who lives in Wales and he sells the hatching eggs.

I would be interested in meat birds too, could yopu point out which member on here sells them as I live in Wales. too  :)

if you read Grannies post she mentions who bought the breeding stock of mastergris  :).

Might want to look at Castlefarmeggs.co.uk Dave there has developed a few lines of utility breeds with decent egg laying and size of cockerels.
