Hiya, no idea why you get watery whites but mine do it aswell, hope you find the answer out, someone is bound to know.

Could it be a deterioration of protein quality as the birds are getting older I've read about it somewhere ??
What do you feed them on ? try them with just layers and a bit of corn last thing no treats and see if that helps .

Yes mine are fresh, at the oldest 3 days. I feed them on a mixture of layers mash, pellets, mixed corn and leftovers as well as cabbage, lettuce, mealworms and sunflower hearts, but those are just treats. Perhaps I will stick with no treats and see what happens but that will be soooo hard as the girls run up to me as soon as they see me and look so pleadingly at me!  
They are ex- battery, got them in August last year so not sure how old that makes them. :?

As Rich said - older birds often lay watery whites in their eggs.  Nothing to do about it but when fried they fit the sandwich better

Someone told me (not sure if it is right) that they can be like this when very fresh (we have this problem too with ours and pretty much always have done and ours our POLs).  Also someone told me that keepign them too warm can also result in this.

I have noticed this now and then with mine too, I just put it down to the freezing weather we had.
