Hello all,

I have some shrubs and one tree in my front garden and as I am new to the plant world I have no idea what they are! A couple of them are obviously evergreen and the others are not. I want to prune them and have read up on the basics of pruning, However, because I don't know what they are, I can't prune them according to the different plant needs. I have tried to identify them but as they are bare it is proving quite difficult! Do you think that I should just lightly prune them all or can anyone recommend a good website that helps to identify shrubs and plants? Or perhaps if I posted some pictures up on here some of you may be able to help?
