After about a week you will start to see the middles of plants start to pale. From then on the plants will progressivly die.

The chemical will have penetrated as far as it is going after a week and you can chop or dig them as they will be technically dead.

You can replant or resow immediately.

Until this year I've always used genuine Monsanto Roundup but this year I've used B&Q own brand glyphosate and found it much slower, over two weeks before there was anything noticeable. I was about to spray again when things started to die, worked OK just slowly. Could be the conditions when I used it but I don't think so as it was in the warm weather. You don't say what you were using, different types work at different speeds.

It depends on the growth of the weeds.  Plants that are coming up to flower,  in flower, or setting seeds, are much harder to kill than young growth.

The Monsanto glyphosate is more concentrated then the Wilkinsons own brand, so I suspect the same for the B+Q own brand. Did you change the amount mixed with water?

I know it sounds obvious but is easily overlooked.

Apologies, didn't read original post properly, I assume you mean genuine Roundup. SG6, I did read the label couldn't do it from memory! I was killing grass/docks/buttercup mixture.

I used a few pouches (diluted) of glycosphte from Homebase for my two main paths. A week on and the path is dead, ready to be covered with weed suppresant and bark etc
