ducks, drakes and noise
« on: March 30, 2010, 20:54 »
hi, we are not allowed cockerals on our site but we are allowed turkeys ducks and geese aswell as chooks, i want to get something a bit different but must be able to live with my chooks i was told that ducks would be a good idea and have been looking into it but still have a few questions, will the ducks need a seperate house to the chicken coop or will they share and do drakes make lots of noise like cockerals?

ideally they could do with a seperate coup as they dont perch so would end up being pooped on from the chickens roosting above
Staffies are softer than you think.

and drakes are a lot quieter than the girls. They do need water for splashing about in!
Be like a duck. Calm on the surface but always paddling like the dickens underneath.
