My sprouts are still ...

... very small ... the sprout that is, not the trees they grow on.  I planted them quite late, what are my chances of getting some button sprouts for Christmas do we reckon?

At the minute they're about the size of ... erm ... double size peas.  Plants looking very healthy, bit of a white fly problem, but nothing major.

Yours sound just like mine Wellies!!!  we've had a few, but once cooked, you need a magnifier to find thm on the plate!!!  But the plants like yours are HUGE!!!!!

sprinkle a dessert spoon each of sulphate of ammonia around a half dozen plants or so , this a great booster .and i would say stand back as they will take off and be ready for Christmas no worries .works on any brassica type veggies . dont use on roots as it only really makes the green stuff grow . use sulphate of potash for the roots  but half teasoon per plant

Karl I followed your advice and my sprouts have started to put a bit of a spurt on! ... I'm more hopefull of chasing a few round my plate on Christmas morning now ... thank you.
