My 2 greenhouse cucs are succumbing to CMV and so I'm going to pull them up and burn. But what should I do to reduce the risk of it next year? I'm going to give the ghouse a good clean after the tomatoes are finished which hopefully will get rid of aphids, any other tips?

some people drape polysheeting over them to increase humidity...it would help keep out aphids as well 

I believe there are resistant/tolerant varieties as well

Out of interest, do you smoke?  Sometimes the mosaic viruses can be transmitted through nicotine, although I'm not sure whether this is true for the cucumber ones.

no not a smoker Yorkie, so just some little b*****r of an aphid to blame! I will aim to give the ghouse a really good clean this year (and dig over the soil to see if I can find any pupae of the Hebrew Character moths that have eaten some of the toms!), then next year follow MoS's advice to keep the cucs happier and healthier.

Interestingly, while both the F1 Femspot and Cucino have the virus, the Cucino is looking far happier and still cropping, while the Femspot is giving up the ghost...
