I want to start growing the first and retry the second. I have heard that it is possible to buy asparagus plugs to plant at any time. Anyone had experience or got any advice?
Horseradish I have tried a couple of time to grow this. When is the best time to plant roots?

I planted my horseradish thongs out in mid march a couple of years back in really deep bottomless container (actually the bottom the third of a damaged dalek composter). They've taken really well and I had a few roots last year and I'll have plenty this winter.

No advice but I never thought I'd see the pairing as a topic! I have both  in the same bed. I obviously wasn't thorough enough digging out the horseradish when I planted the asparagus. They get along ok.

Everyone seems to be able to grow horseradish but me had 2 or 3 goes in different locations without success. Everyone seems to say plant it and it'll grow.  I'll wait til spring and have another go.
Where do you get the roots?
