Has anyone grown ' Numex Twilight ' chillies and if so how do you know if they are ripe . Mine start off purple and seem to stay purple all the time they are growing. they are now nearly an inch long and sticking straight up

I grow a similar variety that change through various colours starting with purple.

You can eat them at any stage. The purple phase isn't as hot as the final red one though.
