Beautiful babies.  There haven't been very many pictures of chicks this year and I love to see them.  Saves me from having my own.

Well the chicks are now 12 days old so a trip out with Mum into the big world is long overdue.  So here's their first trip out beyond their house run.

Where's mum gone?  Anyone seen her?

I'm keeping my eye on you chicks from up here so don't wander off too far!

OK now I'm back to earth just stick close to me and we'll take a little walk.

Just once round the house then back to bed.

Oh HF what gorgeous photos!  And stunning subjects - Mum and chicks.  They look like they're in heaven at your place.

You could do a childrens book with your picture/story of your chicks adventures.   :D

Well it's a while now and here is the latest update on the three chicks we thought might be hens.  But first a photo of Mum & Dad.

The chicks are now 15 weeks old (1st Aug) and one of them managed a first strangled crow the other day so yes you guessed it they are all cockerels would you believe it >:(

Unfortunately I don't have the room for more boys as I already have 4 orloff cocks so they have to go FTGH if possible see my post in Poultry Swap shop.

Here they are yesterday.

Don't think it would be a happy ending for your book if you can't find homes for them and they have to be culled.   :(
