This morning, I opened the pophole whilst in my pyjamas.

then i went back to bed for an hour 

when i came back downstairs after washing, I spied that, instead of coming out of the coop in search of food, the new arrivals had started/nearly finished eating an egg.
At that time i wasn't sure how much of the egg was eaten (you know how you can always tell it's egg from the consistency of the white!), so I grabbed my coat and ran outside dressed in nothing but a pair of shoes, a towel and my coat!
then the towel fell off, so i was there in shoes and my coat 

I was there ages trying to get the hens out of the house into the run to find the food - in the end,I had to open the big door, take them out one by one and put them in the run.

I was wearing proper clothes for a change, looked quite normal actually until the plastic tarpaulin wrapped itself around me

Both my neighbour and I let our chickens out in our pyjamas and wellies!

When I put my lot away tonight (in pink pjamas this time) Doris pecked at my toes through the holes in my crocs! I don't know why they love toes - but it's a killer.

arrh, now I know. Painted worms.

I keep telling my toddler that her fingers look like little worms and thats why she needs to keep her hands in her pockets! She says the hens are silly billys!
