'Suckers' growing from flower trusses on tomatoes
« on: June 11, 2018, 16:50 »
I just removed some from 'Black Prince' plants.  I didn't see this on any varieties I grew last year.
Wondered if this was normal for some varieties (a mutation not in all tomatoes), or caused by environmental conditions/feeding?
Just curious really and couldn't see owt via google!  Anyone know?
I'm assuming it's right to pinch em off?!

If you mean leaves growing at the end of the flower truss, this is quite common. Sometimes they do and sometimes they don't  :D

It doesn't do any harm to leave them, or you can cut them off as you have done.
