Nos of seeds in pkts

Had a surprise today :shock: opened pkt of San Marzano tom seeds as doing swaps with a few people, inside were 7 seeds! Pkt said av 100 seeds content. :evil:

Have e mailed supplier to complain will let you know what they say

Some varieties you don't get many seeds for your money, but if these aren't one of those and it said a hundred on the packet. . . . flippin 'eck!

The seeds that i had ordered were on offer fom the Telegraph...5 different varieties of tomatoes, seed supplied by Mr Fothergill. It was to Mr Fothergill i complained as their's was the name on the packets. I had a phone call the very next day to say that the Telegraph offer suppliers would resupply the pack. I thought they would resupply the 1 faulty packet. Pleasant surprise this morning all five pkts were resupplied.

So well done Mr Fothergill for sorting it out for me

I dont think you get many seeds with tomatoes. 100 seeds seems a bit much unless you are a commercial grower

I bought a packet of tomatoe seeds on offer for 50p a few years ago. Reduced from £2.99 with supposedly 10 seeds in the packet (they were an F1 variety). Finally got round to growing them last year, 2 years past sow by date. Found 13 seeds in the pack and 11 germinated! I was dead chuffed!

Yes, i noticed how expensive the f1s were this year so bought burpless which i have grown in the past.....were much cheaper
