« on: October 10, 2008, 20:32 »
Hi everyone,
So here is my first question.
I have been to look at a some allotments that have become available in my area, the one I fancy needs alot of work and has know boundery fencing.
Could anyone tell me if the local council supply boundery fencing?

Thanks

Hi Neil welcome to the forums  :D

Some society's don't allow boundary fences anyway, but i doubt they would supply all ways worth asking tho'.

All the other plots were seperated by fencing so I am guessing its ok.
I thought I would have to do it meself I just thought they may help with the cost.

Our allotments are all separated by boundary fencing most of which is either private hedging or hawthorn which is a good deterrent as the thorns are quite sharp and the birds love it.
Ask your secretary if he could get some for you off the local council for you.

We have boundry fencing, we scrounged some tin panels from a building company when they were demolishing a building. some people use pallets.
