Yes, we use one down the allotment and it is fine to hold the beans, but we don't use the netting and attach canes to the frame.  I understand that they have added more brackets as we complained that it twisted and wasn't very strong.  My advice would be to purchase extra brackets as they do the trick.  We have used ours for three years and leave it out all winter and it has been fine, but only because of the additional brackets - a good investment.

Not used one of those but I suspect it would be almost impossible to pick many of the beans without full access to both sides of the netting (yes, tried bean netting many years ago, but only once!)

Without the netting you would need additional strings or poles to grow the beans up, so you might as well just use poles or canes in the first place I reckon...
Sow your seeds, plant your plants. What's the difference? A couple of weeks or more when answering possible queries!

Exactly the same experience as Ghost61.  I bought a couple from the local GS on the reduced section.  A fiver each.  No netting just the frame.  We used additional canes for the spacing tied on in the normal way.  Very happy with it but I suppose its just a traditional a frame the way I use it.

I was thinking the same, how on earth would you easily pick many of the beans inside the netting. The pulling and picking would rip the netting. Not a good idea.
Bean poles and string are the best idea in my view.
It would also have to be resizeable to make it any use. It just defines the size of your plot, it should be the other way.
Bit of a pain to store over winter and when digging the plot area.
This seems like they are trying to fix a problem that does not exist. Based on years of a traditional proven working method.

It would be possible to collect the beans on the inside of the netting, as the frame is quite wide, and unless you are somewhat portly, you can walk inside.
