My little girl little has just started laying, but yesterday she went in first thing and every time anyone went in, chickens or my other alf she started shouting. We shut her in for a bit but no egg when we left for the allotment. When we got back and went to collect the eggs there was an eggnormous one which had three yolks poor girl! Is this normal as we had a few double yolkers from the old girls when they first started laying and then they settled down?

What breed is she? Mine are brown sex-links and I have never even had one double yolker.

The warrens layed alot of double yolkers when they first started laying on the big egg was from a lavender she normally lays quite small ones
