Ahh it's horrid to hear she's feeling so under the weather :cry:

If it were one of mine i'd be trying mealworms, sunflower hearts, catfood, sweetcorn, plums.....

Oh i don't know what else to suggest :cry:
Just keep giving the TLC and I'll send good thoughts and keep everything crossed for her

Poor Gem is in bed now but really a very sorry little hen. Wish I could tempt her to eat something substantial..she can't survive on apple and grapes...I think she's getting bored with the apple and hardly had any today. Gave her a syringe of water and some antibiotics...last ditch really as she really seems very poorly. Everything is crossed as she's such a cutie and I'd hate to lose her. She travelled over here with us, she's struggled, like us, to learn the language and settled in well so she just MUST survive this.

:cry: :cry: Poor little Gem is still here but now won't take anything to eat, tried all her favourites but no. Gave her a syringe of elecrolytes and water at lunchtime but she seems to have lost the will to fight. She is just sitting in the crate by the Aga with her eyes shut...I don't think she's in any pain and I know what I should do but I can't bring myself to do it....

After a last cuddle early yesterday evening, we left Little Gem to sleep because we had to go out. I knew that she would pass away whilst we were out...could hardly bear to peep in when we got back home....anyway MOH burried her this morning. So sad as she was one that came with us from England, now we have just 3 of those girls left.

Been trying to distract myself by spending time with the alpacas...oh I wish I was tougher...just can't get this death thing.
