Looking for a decent 6 x 4 pent style shed
« on: May 16, 2016, 21:33 »
I am on the lookout for a shed for my allotment.

Due to the layout of the plot, a pent style would be best .. anyway I quite like their design.

A 6x4, or even a 7x5 would be my choice.

I've just been having a quick look on the websitres of the large DIY chains, Wickes, Homebase and B&Q

Certainly for the first two, the reviews are pretty poor.

In B&Q this one http://www.diy.com/departments/6x4-pent-shiplap-wooden-shed/1293040_BQ.prd?icamp=recs looks fair

Just seen identical shed for less here http://www.shedsworld.co.uk/p/Forest_Garden_6ft_x_4ft_Shiplap_Dip_Treated_Pent_Shed.htm?&installation_option=Installation%20-%20No
Has anybody here bought this shed, or know of a better model .. for about the same money.

There is a fancy shed maker local to me, but their sheds of the same size are about £600 .. a wee bit steep

thanks !

That's a good price.

Do you have a road into the allotment as most companies will deliver to kerb side only. I bought mine from a local garden center and delivered as close to my plot as poss, which was over grass and through the first allotment. I also had very helpful allotmenters to help.

We got a good one on eBay for less than £100. Just needed new screws and roof felt. Worth a look if you want to save a few hundred pounds
