Wellies had gone 75 % off as well yesterday at my local branch. Didn't even have time to buy any

Also some wooden decking tiles went really quickly : pack of 4 were 75p, original price £6.99 :shock: I had reserved some the night before (I work nigths, filling up the shelves

) but they didn't keep them for me and were put back on the shop floor and sold very quickly :roll: Grrrr....

picked up spinach, lambs lettuce, cauli and swede. onion seed (just for fun)

will the seeds be ok next year even if the sow by date is this year?

Yes most seeds are good for a few years some longer than others Tom's about 7 years or so, just you will probably get a lower germination rate as they get older.
