Hello

I've read mixed reviews on growing peas with potatoes, especially maincrop ones.

Anyway, I grew 4 rows of early onward peas and as they developed so did some volunteer potatoes I'd not dug up from last year (as always!) and it has to be said the crop has looked good - I may try this again next year, possibly with beans that seem more recommended.

Has anyone else tried growing things amongst potatoes, or the other way around? Good thing with peas if they finished just before I need to dig the potatoes so was not worried about disturbing the soil.

Never tried it but legumes follow 'tatoes on my plot and as I'm just as bad as you adding digging up spuds  :) I shall give it a go next year.

Does leaving in volunteer potatoes have any implication for disease?
