First eggy meal
« on: April 09, 2012, 19:27 »
Sorry to be a chicken bore, it's still new and exciting!

We have only had our young girls six days, but they have given us three eggs already. We didn't think we would get any so soon. The first arrived shortly after they settled into their new home, (warren or black rock) then one yesterday, (black rock)and another today (speckledy)

So we had our first meal, bacon, eggs and beans and wedges for OH, and beans and egg for me. All double yolkers, which I believe is normal early on. (?)

I bet they tasted good  :D Nothing to compare to your own eggs, fresh every day.

Hello.
I had my first 3 eggs last monday - so exciting!
Had to cook them straight away and I too had  a double yolker - couldn't believe it!

Glad to know I'm not the only person to take photos of fried eggs!!!

Indeed they were....but I didn't have any! :D I am lucky that I am not a lover of chippy things. Unfortunately I made up for not having any by having bread and butter.....and white bread at that, a rare treat to go with my first egg!
