do i have moasic virus?
« on: August 15, 2009, 22:14 »

I'm a bit concerned, the cucumber this is from is 3rd in row, the first two had this then have been overcome with mildew (in open airy outdoor position)

They are near my tomatoes so i hope it doesn't spread!

Will any ripe fruit from these plants be ok to eat? i know i can't catch the mosaic virus myself but will it affect the fruit?

Thanks

Looks like mozaic virus. The fruit will be a bit sort of crinkly but probably OK to eat if you fancy it. It is spread from plant to plant by aphids.

Spray the plants with a dilute solution of soapy water to control the aphids?

Just a thought!  ;)
