Hi fellow growers.

I am a little unsure with what to do with my broad bean plants that I planted in November in the way of support. Most of them seem to have two or three shoots rather than just one and they are all falling over onto the floor. Also when do you take the tips out. Mine are starting to flower is this the right time?

id stake the plants if they are on the floor, imm also starting to seee flower buds on mine - so i wouldn't worry about those and with regards to pinching them out - i only do it when i see blackfly on them.

Thanks a lot for the advice, would you stake the individual shoots then? sorry for the daft question

yeh i think that would be best - have you got any twigs - ive just used last years fushia twigs on mine - its also helped to keep the pigeons off
