What is this and what should I do?

This fungus has just appeared on one of my lime trees. The bark has been dying a bit for a while and this appeared today. Does anyone know what it is, if it is a problem and what I should do about it.

It’s a bracket fungus of some type.  I’ll have a google around.

It’s probably not good news for the tree  :(

I have had a look around and I think that it is an oyster mushroom! This is non parasitic and just consuming the bark that had died back from other causes.

I may be wrong.
