I know... just need to teach him how to catch fish.  He can only manage soggy leaves at the moment

Hm, I always thought dogs that come out of waterways that colour are "collie coloured" i.e. black all over. ::) I love the one with his ears floating on the surface. :D

I love the look on his face in the last pic!  As if to say, 'and just what do you think you are looking at?!'

Our Westie jumped all 4's into a puddle when we were out last week and it was black mud so he looked like a pint of Guiness on legs when he came out  :tongue2:

I have a spaniel that does this in my pond - blows bubbles and everything.  He searches for the frogs and has ended up in the pond several times.  I think its a spaniel thing!!  I have never seen a dog put its head under water before until my Indie did it.  My pond keeps him amused for hours.  I now have pond towels to stop the pond coming into the house.  Great fun really!!!

Our Border Collie cross jumped into the river at low tide once, unfortunatly it was a very muddy riverbank   she then ran up to a lady who had white trousers on and jumped all over her   The lady was furious (can´t blame her) her husband fell about laughing   Our dog was just about 6 months old at the time.

It is a spaniel thing!

Our Penny is only half spaniel, but she is just the same.  few months back we took her to our friend who was doggy sitting while we had a few days away.  I threw the new toy that our friend had bought for her and it bounced into the pond.

Penny jumped straight in, retrieved the toy, but you couldn't see her for duckweed!
