I was at the lotty today and thought I would let the girls have a wander !

and I have spectacularly failed to upload the photos! how do I get them off photobucket?

In photobucket click on the picture that you would like. The to the left of the piccy you will see"share this image" and this has four choices, the last one is "IMG code". Click on this and it will say "copied". In here on the "post reply" just click "paste", then have a look, by pressing preview and submit if you are happy with the pic. To resize on photobucket just look at the options by hovering mouse at top of piccy and you will see te resize option come up, choose medium and bobs your uncle!!!

Oh they are beautiful!  So healthy!  How do you tell them apart?  They really all look alike!

well little red hen, they are called charlie, chocolate and elliott. I cannot tell them apart but Ieuan ( my 7 year old) is quite adamant that he knows which is which. but then he did name them. although I am sure charlie looked different last time Ieuan pointed her out to me!

oh and I forgot, not busy laying eggs. I never realised patience took so long !!!

can anyone tell me what breed they are, from looking on the internet I believe they are barred plymouth rocks? but other than that I cannot find out much about the breed. I will put a pic up of ieuan holding one tomorrow. you have never seen such a grin

they look remarkably like my cuckoo maran - if they are then their egg shells will be dark brown and shiney

 Just a word of warning: be careful that they don't get crop bound with that long grass.
