ok ive gotten my seeds. way way too many and got a bit carried away and ended up buying everything. dad has taken 75% off me, oops.

what am i meant to be doing with my dirt.

at the minute its covered with a black weed preventing membrane and about 3 or 4 inches of bark. its been like that for years.

should i be putting some animal poo on it or anything?

i had a little look under the black stuff and its just looking like mud.

If it isn't too wet, I'd give it a good digging, and add well rotted poo, to get some air and worms into it.

It'll be really dead if it's been covered over for years babe.  It will take quite some time to get it back to health.  A good dig over as Sally says, and add lots of organic matter including some composted chicken poo.

How big is the big of "dirt" you're going to use as I thought you were going to plant "A Carrot"

Well, I should think, Whiggly is going to take charge of your gardens personally. :D  :D  :D

Perhaps you should ask your Dad where you can get some good "soil conditioner" from.

I don't think you should start on too big an area Babe.  You can gradually make it a bit bigger each year.
