Thanks everyone!
Well it was a birthday with a zero on the end of it, and of course during lockdown.
The day before lockdown started, three friends surprised me at lunchtime with a balloon, huuuuuuge badge, ploughman's lunch, and wonderful 4-tier victoria sponge cake from a local cake maker with toppings that included a hand-made 'written' note, roses, chocolate covered strawberries, and a big sparkler that went for about a minute! We sat in the garden and had a wonderful time.
On the day itself, I had a couple of video calls with friends, took myself to the Yorkshire Arboretum, and had a video call with the family at tea time, along with some defrosted cake slices from the earlier cake, and prosecco.
Both the early day and birthday were gorgeous blue skies and warm sun.
It was a wonderful day, part of what I've decided will be a birthday month
